Here’s quite a nice article looking at the new release of Safari for Windows made by Apple the other week.
First look: Safari 3 beta on Windows vs. Firefox 2 and IE7
I’ll probably be sticking to Firefox, but its the kind of thing I might download out of curiousity.
Saying that, I installed iTunes ages ago and never warmed to it.

To coincide with the release of the new Transformers movie, Black Lab have released a cover of Lion’s theme to the 1986 movie. They’ve done a cracking job, even referencing some of the Vince DiCola score.
Here’s the music video they compiled to go with the track:

Well, its the final of the Apprentice tonight. I’ve been watching this show keenly, so I can’t wait to see who the winner is. In terms of who’s come across the better, its surely got to be Christina, however, from the events in previous episodes, I can’t help but think that Sir Alan has his eye on Simon as a likely candidate.
From the trailers though, Simon having Tre and Rory on his team could prove more than he can manage.

Yup, along with the upgrade, which restored the widget sidemenu, I found a new theme I liked.
Its called Mandigo and what’s really neat about it is the level of configuration that the author’s built in. Currently I’m using the default look, but there’s about 5 or 6 to switch between via a radiobutton list, and there’s options for including your own header image, date format. The works.
Top marks

Well, I picked up Lord of the Rings Online last week, as I mentioned before. I’ve now actually had a chance to sit and play it (busy week), and I’ve been really enjoying myself. I’ve tried a lot of MMORPGs, and until now the only one that really sucked me in was City of Heroes.
Lord of the Rings Online seems great fun though. The tutorials throw in some familiar characters as NPCs to get you started, and its reasonably solo-friendly, which suits me. There’s no compass for your missions, which takes some getting used to, but the directions in the quests are usually ok. I’ve been enjoying it a lot so far, playing through the early elven quests. It’ll be interesting once I head over to the Shire, and the village of Bree, and see if I start to meet more NPCs from the books.

I’ve just finished upgrading the blog to version 2.2. There were a few neat features (the Sidebar widgets are now builtin), so I figured I’d go for it.
Hopefully there won’t be any issues from the upgrade. *crosses fingers*

I’m such a sucker for MMORPGs. Granted, I’m quite an anti-social gamer, so end up playing most of them for about 2 days before getting bored and chucking it. Including World of Warcraft. Its more a commentary on what I look for in gaming though, rather than the games themselves.
The only real exceptions have been City of Heroes (which hooked me for ages - cracking game), Guild Wars (which I loved, but the time it took me to get around, only to die and have to start again got me down) and Star Wars Galaxies (prior to the last re-write anyway - not tried it since. I really enjoyed it though, but the lag in Mos Eisley really killed it for me).
But, as I say, I’m a sucker for them none-the-less, so yesterday I picked up Lord of the Rings Online. I’ve only played the tutorials, but the graphics are pretty, and its nice bumping into characters for the books. The next few days will probably tell whether I stick with it, or end up back playing Oblivion. But the reviews have been very good (no small thing in today’s MMO-staturated market), and I read its designed to be more solo-friendly than most MMOs, which was partly what really sucked me into City of Heroes.
