Music Video
I’ve spent many a night surfing through YouTube watching the various fan music videos for things like Doctor Who. Some of them I’ve really enjoyed, and so I eventually thought that instead of just sitting here critiquing other people’s work (in my own head mostly), I should really have a go at making one myself.
So here’s my first attempt. Editing obviously isn’t my strongpoint, and there’s bits I thought came together really well, and bits that I don’t think really worked, but none-the-less I thought I’d open it up for comments here before I decide whether or not I’ll bother putting it up on YouTube.
Its about 10Mb for the Flash version. I’ll make a higher res Divx available for anyone that wants it later on.
Be gentle

Yeah, there are definitely some of the edits that didn’t work as well as I’d have liked. Hopefully I’ll pace some of the stuff better in my next one. Early on a couple of the cuts are a little too fast and should’ve lingered a second longer, and the ending dragged slightly longer than I’d intended.
I used Nero for the editing. It worked well enough, but I found the software had a tendency to crash after I’d done some big changes. So I got pretty used to saving every 5 minutes
I’m actually looking at some of the free editors in Linux for my next one. They’re pretty well featured. I’m still debating whether I’ll try and “re-spin” this one with some editing fixes, or just make a whole new one.

This is great. Loved the choice of song. As the Pieman says, could be a bit snappier at times, but great effort.

Cheers
I think I’m definitely going to make a new version of this video first, and try and fix the bits I’m not quite happy with.

Ok, overall I liked it. Only criticisms are, the pace of the visuals occasionally is a bit sluggish compared to the music and you maight have wanted some more dramatic images to match the chorus. Other than that good stuff.
What software did you use for ripping and editing out of curiosity.
