Blue Beetle Sinestro PreviewWell, it looks like an expensive comics week for me again this week. I only bought the first couple of issues of Blue Beetle, but dropped it as it wasn’t grabbing me and (more importantly at the time) my comics budget had gone through the roof post-IC. However, I’ve heard nothing but good things about the title, and its nice to see another title showing some impact of the Corps War. Its nice tie-in to last week’s issue of GL as well.

I’d have thought that the ring would want to recruit from Sector 2, but I guess in an emergency it’ll take whoever’s closest (actually, now I think about it its probably similar to Tomar Re’s ring recruiting John back in Crisis on Infinite Earths).
GLC #17 Preview
GLC should be good fun as always. Looks like its going to be focused on the GLs trying to defend Earth and the Kilowog/Arkillo rematch should be good fun. Looks like the Guardians hinting towards Sodam getting Ion as well, especially with Arisia’s comment that he’s already as good as any veteran (guess it helps when you’ve got the powers of Superman to back you up ;-) )

Superman Prime Preview
The big issue everyone’s eye will be on though, will be the Superman Prime special.

Ever since he was freed by the Sinestro Corps, and it was revealed that the Anti-Monitor was behind the whole thing, everyone’s been wondering why he’d team up with the being that destroyed his home. Hopefully this will give us some answers. Is he just that far gone? At the end of the day he’s still Clark Kent, so you would hope that alone gives hope that he can be redeemed.

The previews are up at Newsarama as always.

O.O I’ve been reading Blue Beetle.
And I have to react to the next BB preview in a certain way.
THE REACH AND SINESTRO CORPS TECH?!!!!
    I need to read this!!!

Incidentally, technically the ring did select from sector 2, as the Scarab that was implanted in the guy originates from sector 2, and so the assumed it would return there eventually and be able to patrol.

Superman-Primes looking great! I can’t wait to read these

    Ah, that makes sense now.

I must pick up some of the Blue Beetle trades. I was just skint at the time, as I was collecting a heck of a lot of DCs stuff coming out of Infinite Crisis. But by all accounts its a heck of a good book.

Looks to be a good week.

Ah skintness, I know it well.
A lot of the time, I end up just leaving the issues and just waiting for the collected paperbacks to come out, but for the Sinestro Corps war and a few select, I just can’t help myself.

I’m the same. I tend to find trades a better format anyway.

At least I ditched the post-IC tie-in-fest though. I ended up collecting most of their new titles, as well as Superman, Batman and countless others. Cost me a fortune :-)

I’m much stricter with myself these days (especially since, looking back on it, a lot of the IC/One Year Later stuff doesn’t actually hold up that well).
