Mass Effect on PC

16 April, 2008 (20:36) | Gaming | By: Alan

Mass EffectHow did I miss this news? Bioware announced a couple of months back that contrary to their previous “No PC version” statements they’re releasing Mass Effect for the PC.

Its getting a June release here, and from the sounds of things on the Bioware forums and podcasts they’re taking it seriously. Its not going to be a straight port, instead they’re re-jigging some aspects of the game to better suit the PC market.

I’m a sucker for Bioware RPGs, and I’ve been wanting to play this since it came out for the 360. I’ve got my copy pre-ordered :-)

Admit it, you only want it for the explicit, hardcore alien rumpy.

Wonder if they’ve enhanced that to make it like the foaming conservatives described it?

I’d hope not to be honest. Although one thing that’ll be interesting will be how mods on the PC affect it.

I’m not completely up on the 360 side of things, but certainly GTA: SA had been fine on the console until modders figured out how to unlock the Hot Coffee stuff on the PC version.

The potential for PC mods to bump up the adult content could send the foaming conservatives into overdrive.
