It worked well by moving the story along, having left the big shock and reader-grabbing stuff to the first issue. There's several outs to the Mockingbird thing (Ronin could still be a Skrull himself), but I hope she is genuine, as it does play up the fact that the ship is a mix of real and Skrull, which throws in a nice bit of discord. I still reckon Luke Cage is going to be a Skrull. Look at the way he instigated the fight with the heroes from the ship. My only complaint with the issue was at the end. Was I supposed to realise that was the Young Avengers without having to go online? I'd assumed they were some random bystanders. Yeah.
